RPA-ORA Fund-Raising Golf Tournament ~ 12th September 2008
(RPA Golf Event Chairperson: Mrs Annie Chiam)
![]() ![]() The purpose was to raise funds for both schools to support The Raffles Programme and to provide financial assistance for needy students. The golf event came to a close after an evening of fun and dinner at the Shanshui Palace restaurant.
We were glad to have the Guests-of-Honour graced the occasion with their presence. Mr Abdullah Tarmugi, Speaker of Parliament and MP for East Coast GRC, and Madam Ho Geok Choo, MP for West Coast GRC (Boon Lay Division), were our Guests-of-Honour at the afternoon Golf Tournament and Dinner events respectively. A big "Thank You" to all who have helped to make this event a great success.
Teachers' Day Celebrations ~ 29th August 2008 (RPA Teachers' Day Celebration Chairperson: Mr Richard Wong)
![]() ![]() This was a day where the teachers relaxed over food, games, and fellowship. The RPA MC joined in the cake-cutting ceremonies at both RI and RJC to celebrate Teachers' Day.
Whilst the celebration and buffet reception for RJC was held at the college amphitheatre, the RPA MC & RI Staff Welfare Committee also co-organised the programme for RI at the Yunnan Garden Restaurant in RPA presented a gift to every teaching staff of RI and RJC as an appreciation. On behalf of RPA, we would like to thank the teachers and staff of RI and RJC for their dedication as teachers and mentors to our children. RPA-RI Head Master / Deputy Head Master (HM/DHM) Lunch ~ 25th August 2008
(RPA HM/DHM Lunch Chairperson: Mr Too Meng Ken)
RPA jointly hosted the lunch with RI that was chaired by the Deputy Head Master, Mr Kenneth Kwok. The lunch discussion session, which provides an effective communication channel between the school and the parents, is extended only to RPA members. For close interaction, the session is limited to a small group of parents.
Parents who attended the meeting were updated on the school's programmes which relate to their sons' education in RI. A past participant remarked that the session was very informative and enjoyable. Many expressed their thanks to RPA for organising the lunch, and also would recommend their friends to attend the subsequent lunch. Through this website, we hope to keep RPA members informed of our activities and events. It also serves to provide good communication between the schools and parents on issues related to the total education of our children. |
