Welcome to the Hullett Memorial Library page! This web site provides a quick and easy access to information about the Hullett Memorial Library and other useful information for your project and research work . The Hullett Memorial Library has made a conscious effort to constantly upgrade its facilities and services in order to remain relevant in this information age. Our foremost concern is to create a warm and information rich environment where students and staff of Raffles Institution can partake a variety of activities both pleasant and conducive to life-long learning.
The Hullett Memorial Library sees itself as the hub of academic life and the nexus of information gathering and dissemination at Raffles Institution. It exists to |

Mission
The Library exists to link staff and students with recorded knowledge in an appropriate time, place and way, enabling them to achieve excellence in teaching, learning and research.

Objective 1
Work in partnership with teaching staff to promote innovative use of information resources in school enhance teaching and learning.

Teach students and staff to become information literate as a basis for life long learning and real world problem solving.

Increase knowledge base available to researchers for the development of new knowledge, by using IT to improve access to information world wide.
Code of conduct
Users are encouraged to accept responsibility for the appropriate care of the facilities, services and resources in a way that ensures that all users are able to utilise the Library in an equitable and timely manner.
Rules
Conduct of Users
- A quiet atmosphere must be maintained at all times. Users found causing inconvenience to others will be asked to leave the library.
- Users must be appropriately attired in school uniform or in half-U ( PE shirt with white shorts )
- There is to be no littering, eating or drinking in the library.
- All books taken out of the shelves must be placed back in their original places or in the return trolleys.
- Pupils caught vandalising or stealing library property will face disciplinary action.
Loan Rules Print Resources
- Users must produce their EZ-link Card when borrowing or renewing.
- The loan period for each book is two weeks. A fine of ten cents per day will be charged for each overdue book.
- Users are responsible for all loans issued out under their names.
- Loans are not transferable.
- Users are expected to return/renew books on time.
- Books must be returned when recalled.
- Users' borrowing privileges will be suspended if books are not returned within two months of their due dates.
- Users must report the loss of their EZ-link Card or library books immediately.
Loan Rules IT Resources (Notebooks, Project Corner & SurfPOOL computers)
- Users must first register giving full details of their bookings in the respective record book at the Information Desk.
- Notify the librarian at the desk of the required IT resources.
- Place EZ-link card on the respective slots of the tray. The EZ-Links cards will be replaced with a "BOOKED" card.
- All EZ-Link cards must be collected back after use of resources. Record time out in the respective book.
- Notebooks must be returned by 5.15pm(Mon-Fri)
Bags Room
- No bags are to be placed outside the bag room.
- Should there be no space to place your bag, place them outside at the bag storage cupboard
