10 RI Reps in Inaugural ASEAN Schools Game
Congratulations to the 8 athletes from our Yr 1 - 4 cohort who have been selected to represent Singapore at the 1st ASEAN Schools Game to be held in Suphanburi, Thailand from the 20-29 July 2009!
This is the first time that 12 sports in the ASEAN Schools calendar have been integrated into a mini SEA game format. The Singapore contingent will be taking part in 10 of the sports namely: Badminton, Basketball, Golf, Gymnastics, Swimming, Sepak Takraw, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field and Volleyball.
The 8 boys who have been selected will take part in 6 of the sports with another 2 teachers being appointed as team coaches in the contingent. Raffles Institution is proud of the staff and students representing Singapore in this event.
