RATIONALE & PRINCIPLE
In RI, we believe that that all students have the potential to be leaders, and we firmly believe that they will take up positions of adult leadership. Therefore, it is imperative to nurture them for positions of responsibilities and leadership in society by providing leadership education, training and opportunities.

Leadership Development
OBJECTIVES
1. Mission
Nurture caring leaders of distinction committed to excellence, spirit of enterprise and service for the common good and interests of the nation.
2. Vision
A leader who demonstrates personal mastery and sense of mission to create a better age for all. (Raffles Programme)
3. Key Understandings
Student will understand that a good leader:
• Possesses a set of values, attitudes and skills which enables him/her to be effective in serving.
• Appreciates the complexities of group dynamics and utilizes this knowledge to relate effectively and help the group develop goals and make decisions that are worthwhile.
• Possesses a strong moral anchor which guides him in his conduct, exercise of rights and privileges, and his orientation in changing situations.
4. Learner Outcomes
• Student will be a good steward of his/her life.
• Student will be a socially responsible and caring citizen who engages constructively and proactively with other and the community.
• Student will endeavour to be a reflective, dynamic leader who consciously maintains an open mind and a pioneering and serving spirit, to forge a better future for all.
