RAFFLES INSTITUTION AWARDED On 26 September 2004, the Ministry of Education announced that RI had been accorded the pinnacle of the MOE Masterplan of Awards, School Excellence Award (SEA) for having achieved overall systemic excellence in the delivery of a holistic education. In attaining the School Excellence Award, RI also distinguished itself in a number of categories in the recently released MOE’s Honour Rolls. They are:
RI has also been recently awarded National Arts Education Gold Award by the National Arts Council in recognition of our effort to promote and encourage all pupils to be involved in the field of various arts endeavors and appreciation, as part of the Rafflesian education. In addition to that, RI will be receiving the Partners Outstanding Award on 30 October 2004 in recognition of our outstanding efforts towards promoting and strengthening collaborative partnerships with our stakeholders in education. With the Integrated Programme schools not included in the MOE’s School Achievement Tables and ranking this year, the above awards will continue to attest that Raffles Institution is the premier school in Singapore. We are immensely proud of these achievements because they reaffirm the standards and ethos of Rafflesian brand of education. These achievements are also a testimony that we can accomplish much as a school when we work synergistically as close partners, between the school and parents, Old Boys and well-wishers, to realize the immense potential and abilities of all the pupils in RI. We have much to be thankful for, particularly the privilege of nurturing talented boys for the betterment of our society and the future of Singapore. We want all our boys to reflect and be inspired by these accomplishments, and at the same time celebrate together as a school these wonderful achievements.
